NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING CLINTON COUNTY PARTNERING WITH THE CITY OF WILMINGTON 2025 COMMUNITY HOUSING IMPACT AND PRESERVATION (CHIP) PROGRAM Clinton County, partnering with the City of Wilmington, intends to apply for the PY 2025 Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program (CHIP) competitive grant administered by Ohio Department of Development, Office of Community Enhancements (OCE). Clinton County is eligible to apply for $700,000.00 of which $400,000 will be budgeted for Clinton County, and $300,000 will be budgeted for the City of Wilmington. On Wednesday, Ap rill 30, 2025, the first of two public hearings was held at the Clinton County Commissioners Office. The CHIP program was explained including how it may be used, what activities are eligible, and other program requirements. Based on Citizen input, including local community service providers and local officials assessment of the Countys needs, Clinton County is proposing to undertake the following activities for 2025. ACTIVITIES FUNDS FUNDING SOURCE 1. Rehabilitation Assistance - Owner Rehabilitation $406,000 HOME/CDBG 2. Repair Assistance Owner Home Repair $210,000 CDBG/OHTF 3. Administration & Fair Housing $84,000 HOME/CDBG The second public hearing will be held for Clinton County and the City of Wilmington on: Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. Clinton County Commissioners Conference Room 1850 Davids Drive, Suite 208, Wilmington, Ohio 45177 This meeting will provide citizens with the opportunity to review and comment on the Clinton County proposed CHIP application including the proposals above.
