PUBLIC NOTICE SOLICITATION OF BIDS FOR WORK AND MATERIAL The City of Wilmington, through the Director of Public Service, will receive bids for the 2026 MATERIALS ONLY LANDFILL BRIDGE OVER LYTLE CREEK PROJECT, as per specifications, until Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 12:00 Noon at the City Services’ Office, 69 N. South Street, Wilmington, OH 45177, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids are to be electronically submitted through https://bidexpress.com (fees apply) prior to the above-stated time. No paper bids will be accepted. The 2026 MATERIALS ONLY LANDFILL BRIDGE OVER LYTLE CREEK PROJECT consists of furnishing and delivering specified bridge components for a new vehicular bridge over Lytle Creek. The proposed bridge will consist of a single-span galvanized rolled steel beam superstructure with a composite reinforced concrete deck on integral abutments. This contract represents Bid Package No. 1 of two bid packages for the project. Materials provided under this contract will be delivered to the City for use in the future construction and installation under a separate contract. Complete digital Project Bidding Documents must be obtained from www.bidexpress.com . All bidders must register and be a member of the web service to bid on the Project. All proposals shall be submitted electronically through the web service www.bidexpress.com . Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The successful bidder must replace the bid guaranty with a one-hundred percent Performance Bond upon award of the bid. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that the materials are delivered no later than October 5, 2026 . No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days of the actual date of the bid opening thereof. The Board of Control of the City of Wilmington reserves the right to accept the lowest and best bid, reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularities in bids.
