NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Clinton County intends to apply to the Ohio Department of Development for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program, and other related federally funded programs administered by the State. The County is eligible for several types of fiscal year 2026 programs providing the County meets applicable program requirements. These programs include but are not limited to Critical Infrastructure, Economic Development, Residential Public Infrastructure, Flexible Grant, and various other programs. The State of Ohio expects to have approximately $45 million in CDBG funding to distribute statewide. Clinton County is eligible to apply for up to $500,000 for each Critical Infrastructure project, $500,000 for each Economic Development project, $750,000 for each Residential Public Infrastructure project, and up to $250,000 for each Flexible Grant project. Critical Infrastructure applications are due to the State by June 10, 2026. Other applications may be submitted on an open cycle basis starting July 1, 2026. The first of several public hearings will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at the Clinton County Commissioners Office, 1850 Davids Drive, Suite 208, Wilmington, Ohio 45177 to provide citizens with pertinent information about the CDBG, and related programs, including an explanation of eligible activities. The activities must be designed to primarily benefit low- and moderate-income persons or aid in the elimination of slums and blight. Villages, townships, cities, citizens and organizations are encouraged to attend this meeting to obtain additional information about the available grant programs. (Sat., March 14, 2026) 90218765
