It has been determined that these properties are in violation of the following section of the City of Wilmington’s Codified Ordinance/Property Maintenance Code: SECTION 1729.01 – Weed and grass removal Weed and grass cutting requirements. The owner, occupant, or any other person or entity, having charge or management of any lot or lands situated within the City less than two acres shall cut down and remove weeds, grass, and plant growth in excess of ten (10) inches in height on the entire lot or parcel. Parcels with more than two acres shall be mowed back 100’ from the adjacent property lines of developed lots. These properties must be brought into compliance within five (5) days of this publication. If the properties are not brought into compliance, the City shall cause the weeds or grass to be cut at the owner’s expense and the City will place a lien on the property for the amount in accordance with O.R.C. 731.54.
